The Village Pre-School was started in 1971, as a non-religious outreach program of The Bethel United Methodist Church
to serve the families and children of Bethel and surrounding areas. The Village Pre-School has grown and changed to meet
the ever-changing needs of our children. We are proud of the Village Pre-School, its national accreditation, and its
accomplishments over the past 40 years of educating your children and ours.

      Our mission is to provide a high quality, developmentally appropriate, early childhood program and to educate children in a
positive emotional and social environment that is creative and cognitively stimulating while supporting each child’s
individual culture.

A letter from our Director:

Dear Parents,

    As the newest member of the Village Pre-School I would like to welcome our returning families and those of you for whom this will be a new and exciting experience.  While this is my first year as the Director of the Village Pre-School, it is the 40th year that we have delighted in educating and promoting the growth of young children.

   The Village Pre-School, a non-sectarian organization is owned and sponsored by the Bethel United Methodist Church, and is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood programs.  Accreditation demands that we meet strict criteria and provide a developmentally appropriate educational program for 3-5 year old children, including a highly trained staff with expertise in many areas.

   We provide an atmosphere in which every child can reach his / her full potential.  Through guidance from the teachers our program encourages active learning and allows children to spend their day engaged in experiences that are filled with wonder and discovery.  These positive interactions with the staff will help to foster your Child’s self-esteem.

   As we begin the 2011-2012 School year, I look forward to working with and getting to know each and every one of you who are part of the Village Pre-School family.
